  1. Stress-test floor reaffirmed

    OSFI confirmed the 5.25% minimum qualifying rate continues to apply to uninsured federally regulated mortgages. The qualifying rate remains the greater of the contract rate plus 2% or 5.25%.

  2. Insured mortgage cap reviewed

    CMHC and OSFI reaffirmed the $1.5M purchase-price cap for insured mortgages. Above that ceiling, a 20%+ down payment is required.
